New website of the Institute for Financial Policy

Last update: 27.09.2023 10:00

Up-to-date economic information, analyses, forecasts and a number of important figures all in one place. The Institute for Financial Policy (IFP) of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic today launched its new website www.ifp.sk, where it will regularly publish everything relevant to the figures and the work of the IFP. The new website was launched by the analysts of the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Institute for Financial Policy.

Visitors to the website will find all analyses of current economic events, publications, forecasts, statistics, calculators and, in addition, media outputs of the IFP in one place. The authors have incorporated the content of the existing outputs from 2022 into the new website.

“Slovakia needs a better professional and public debate on the state of the economy and public finances. Our IFP Analytical Unit wants to set an example for other authorities in openness and modern communication on data and analyses. Concentrating as much data, data and figures related to our economy as possible and available in one place is the right step and that is why I appreciate the initiative of my colleagues from the IFP who have prepared this project,” said Finance Minister Michal Horváth.

“Our new website also brings new life to the functioning of the IFP itself. In this way, we want to be more open not only to professionals but also to the general public. In addition to the numbers, visitors to the website will therefore learn more about our work and, so to speak, behind the scenes of our Institute. I am glad that this has been achieved, especially at a time when we are commemorating the 20th anniversary of the founding of the IFP,” added IFP Director Juraj Valachy.

The Institute for Financial Policy has been working on the preparation of the website using its own staff capacities for several months. The features and content of the website will be regularly reviewed and upgraded. For example, a “newsletter subscription” option should soon be available. The website is of course also smartphone-friendly.
